The Chinese New Year celebrated on January 25, will see the entrance of the Rat. The New Year , Rat  or otherwise, will always be celebrated with pomp and pageantry as usual where Lion dances will be held every where in the city.
Of course, it will also be a time for feasting, where celebrants will hold reunion dinners, with lots of good food, while the children and unmarried relatives get their red packet.
The array of food offered
For those who wish to dine out during this time Runway Café in Tanjung Aru is just the place to go. They have prepared a special Chinese New Year promotion to usher the coming Chinese New Year celebration.
Diners can choose between two set of menu at this time. The first set is priced at RM288++ enough to serve 3-5 diners. This package includes braised sea-cucumber with crab meat soup, steam fish nyonya style, salt and pepper prawn, steam salted corn chicken and stir-fried beef with cashew nuts as well as Fatt Choy braised assorted mushroom and mix fruit.
Set B priced at RM688++ is enough to serve 6-10 diners.  The menu list include Fortune Seasons’ platter, braised fish maw with shark fin and dried scallop soup, steam gravy corn chicken, roasted plum duck and Cheong Cheng style red snapper. Diners will also enjoy the pan fry prawn with sweet chili bean, braised scallop and sea cucumber with broccoli , golden fried rice with salted egg and snow fungus with longan .

Runway Cafe established since 2008, a Fusion concept restaurant cafe serving authentic Chinese, Malay, Baba Nyonya cuisine & Western cuisine and other local favorites. It opens from 8am-12 midnight daily and can accommodate from 80 up to 120 people.
