Beware of Scammers
The MATTA Fair Sabah 2026, organising chairman, Mohd Azlan Saleh Abdul Salam, stated that anyone wishing to participate in the MATTA Fair, held in April this year and the subsequent event scheduled for September 18 to 20, must be licensed and offer services that match their claims.
Visitors can look forward to special travel deals, exclusive promotions, lucky draws, and other activities throughout the three-day event.
However, they must remain vigilant. Chong Wai Kit, the Director of MOTAC Sabah, advised that visitors should be cautious when purchasing tours or travel packages during the event. They should always be aware of who they are paying.
He emphasised that payments should be made to the company account and not to an individual. Furthermore, visitors should not transfer money to an individual claiming to be a staff member, even if they appear to be legitimate.
